SW Calgary to Lavish Beauty: An Honest Guide

The Longest Drive in Our Service Area
From most SW communities, Lavish Beauty is 30 to 38 minutes away in normal traffic, which makes the SW the furthest part of Calgary we regularly see clients from. The route is simple even if it is long: join Stoney Trail on the west side, stay on it as it bends through the NW and across the north, and leave at Country Hills Blvd NE. There is no meaningful shortcut through the centre of the city.
Communities in the far south-west, like Evergreen and Bridlewood, are better served by going the other way around, along Stoney Trail SE and up the east side. Either way you stay on the ring road, which means predictable timing outside rush hour.

Community notes
Aspen Woods, Springbank Hill, Signal Hill, Discovery Ridge
Aspen Woods
Aspen Woods drivers head out along 85 Street SW to Stoney Trail, around 32 minutes (approx.). If you run errands at Aspen Landing, you are already close to the on-ramp, so pairing a Saturday errand with an afternoon appointment works well.
Springbank Hill
Springbank Hill uses the same 85 Street approach and comes in a little longer, about 34 minutes. That makes full body laser a sensible fit: one appointment roughly every six to eight weeks covers every area, so the number of trips stays low.
Signal Hill
Signal Hill is the longest of the four at about 38 minutes, via 69 Street SW to Stoney. If you work in the core, leaving from downtown after work is usually faster than starting from home; our Downtown and Beltline page covers that route.
Discovery Ridge
Tucked beside Griffith Woods Park, Discovery Ridge has one advantage: it sits right on Stoney Trail, so there is almost no local driving before you are on the ring road. The full trip is about 36 minutes (approx.).
The trade-off
Why SW Clients Still Make the Trip
A 35-minute drive each way for a 20-minute laser session is a real cost. It is only worth it if one of these matters to you:
- Women-exclusive. No men in the waiting room, on the team or on the schedule, which is the deciding factor for many Brazilian laser clients.
- Skin-tone safety. Our Candela GentleMax Pro includes a 1064nm Nd:YAG wavelength, the standard choice for medium to deep skin, as well as a 755nm Alexandrite for lighter skin.
- Sunday hours. Open 10 AM to 5 PM, when the ring road is quiet and the drive is closest to the numbers above.
- Published prices. Full body $499, Brazilian $150, Signature HydraFacial $199. You know the cost before you commit to the drive.
Making it efficient
One Trip, Several Treatments
Because each visit costs you over an hour on the road, SW clients get the most from stacking treatments. A few combinations that fit in one appointment:
- Full body laser ($499), the single most trip-efficient option.
- Full arms ($170) with bikini ($85).
- Laser on underarms, then a Signature Express Facial ($69, 30 min) or eyebrow threading before you leave.

How far is Lavish Beauty from Aspen Woods, Springbank Hill, Signal Hill or Discovery Ridge?
+
Free-flow routing puts Aspen Woods at about 32 minutes, Springbank Hill at about 34, Discovery Ridge at about 36 and Signal Hill at about 38 minutes (approx.) from our clinic in Cornerstone NE. Every one of those routes uses Stoney Trail up the west side of the city and across the north end. Weekday rush hour can add 10 minutes or more.
Why would I drive from the SW to NE Calgary for laser?
+
Honestly, only if the specifics matter to you. The four reasons that usually justify it: a women-exclusive clinic, a GentleMax Pro with a 1064nm Nd:YAG wavelength for medium and deep skin tones, Sunday hours, and published prices. If a clinic closer to home offers what you need, that shorter drive is a real advantage over a 6–8 session plan.
How do SW clients cut down on trips?
+
Group areas into one appointment. Laser on several areas in a single visit, such as full legs plus underarms plus Brazilian, costs the same per area as separate visits but saves repeat drives. Full body (16 areas) is one appointment. Adding a HydraFacial or threading to the same visit also helps.
What is the best time to drive from SW Calgary?
+
Sunday between 10 AM and 5 PM and weekday late mornings are the quickest. Weekday afternoons heading north on Stoney Trail are the slowest. If you work downtown, starting from the office is usually shorter than starting from home in the SW; see our Downtown and Beltline page for that route.
Do you have a location in SW Calgary?
+
No. Our only clinic is at 1155 Cornerstone Blvd NE. Everything on this page is about getting there from the SW.
