Golf season, sun and smooth legs

Country Hills was established in 1990 and has about 3,700 residents. It is a slightly older community than its neighbours, with more residents over 65 than the city average. Many clients from here spend summer on the course, and a golf season spent in shorts and sleeveless tops is often what prompts them to book leg and arm laser.

Sun is the catch. Laser needs untanned skin, so the ideal start is late autumn, once the courses close. By spring you can have several sessions of legs ($160 half, $240 full) or arms ($120 half, $170 full) done. If you are mid-season, the GentleMax Pro's Nd:YAG setting is more forgiving on skin with some colour. Still, tell your technician about any recent sun exposure, and keep treated areas under SPF.

Hair tends to lighten and thin with age. Laser targets pigment, so grey, white and very light blond hair won't respond. We will tell you at the consultation if your hair is a poor match rather than sell you sessions.

The studio is women-only and open Sundays until 5 PM.

How do I get to Lavish Beauty from Country Hills?

+

Head east on 96 Avenue, which becomes Airport Trail NE under the runway, then take Cornerstone Drive NE north. It is about 12.3 km and roughly 16 minutes in light traffic (approx.).

Can I start leg laser during golf season?

+

Yes, as long as you haven't tanned recently. We adjust settings and patch test first. Starting after the season ends is ideal.

Does laser work on grey or light hair?

+

No. Laser needs pigment in the hair, so grey, white, red and very light blond hair respond poorly. We'll check at your consultation.

Is it cheaper to do full legs than half legs twice?

+

Full legs are $240 per session and half legs are $160. If you want both upper and lower legs smooth, full legs is the better value.
