Lake summers and laser timing
Coral Springs was built from 1991 around its lake and has about 5,600 residents. Most are immigrants, and a majority have South Asian heritage. With private beaches in summer and skating in winter, residents here often want laser results before swimsuit season. In practice, that means planning around the sun.
Laser and fresh tans don't mix. A tan puts extra pigment in the skin that competes with the hair for the laser's energy, which raises the risk of irritation or temporary dark spots. The best time to start is autumn or winter. By the time the lake opens, you will have several sessions done. If you are treating in summer, use broad-spectrum sunscreen on treated areas and tell your technician about any recent sun exposure so settings can be adjusted.
The areas lake-goers ask about most are bikini ($85), Brazilian ($150), underarms ($85) and half legs ($160). The GentleMax Pro's Nd:YAG wavelength is the setting for deeper skin tones, and our technicians are all women.

Can I get laser in summer if I spend weekends at the lake?

Yes, with care. Avoid tanning for two weeks before each session, use SPF on treated skin and tell us about recent sun exposure. For the smoothest summer, start in autumn or winter.

Bikini ($85) treats the swimsuit line. Brazilian ($150) removes more, front to back. Our bikini laser page explains the difference in detail.

Wait about 24 to 48 hours before swimming in the lake or a chlorinated pool, and until any redness has settled.
