From most of Cornerstone you simply follow Cornerstone Boulevard NE to its corner with Country Hills Boulevard. The shopping centre is on that corner, and our door is inside the same development as the grocery store, the Tim Hortons drive-thru and the pharmacy.
Routing from the middle of the community measures roughly one kilometre, about two minutes behind the wheel. From the homes north of Country Hills Boulevard, near the ponds and the cricket pitch, a lot of clients walk over on the community pathways instead.
If you are running errands anyway, park once: the lot in front of the units is free, and you can pick up groceries after a threading appointment without moving the car.

Being the Cornerstone clinic
Cornerstone was launched in 2016 and filled up fast. By the 2021 Census it had about 6,200 residents, an average household of 3.4 people and a quarter of residents under 15. In other words: busy homes, lots of kids and not much spare time. A clinic on the same corner as your grocery store removes the biggest reason people give up on laser, which is simply not making it back for the next appointment.
Laser hair removal works in a series, usually six to eight visits spaced four to eight weeks apart depending on the area, and results depend on keeping that rhythm. Neighbours tend to book their next visit on the way out and fit it around school pickup or a Sunday shop, since we are open until 5 PM on Sundays and 7 PM the rest of the week.
The community is one of the most diverse in the city, and a majority of residents have South Asian heritage. That matters for laser, because deeper skin needs the long 1064 nm Nd:YAG wavelength rather than a light-skin setting. Our Candela GentleMax Pro has both the Nd:YAG and the 755 nm Alexandrite, and your technician chooses between them after a patch test at your consultation.
The studio is women-exclusive, so every client, therapist and room is for women. Many Cornerstone clients start small with an upper lip or underarms and add areas once they have seen how their skin responds.

Yes, walk-ins are welcome for threading when a threader is free. Eyebrow threading is $10. Laser, HydraFacial and facials are booked in advance so the room and technician are ready for you.
I live a few minutes away. How often will I need to come for laser?

Most clients need 6 to 8 sessions: roughly every 4 to 6 weeks for the face and every 6 to 8 weeks for body areas. Living close makes it easy to keep that schedule, which is what gives the best long-term hair reduction.
Is there a first-visit consultation fee?

The consultation is $10, and that $10 is credited toward your first treatment. It includes a skin and hair assessment and a patch test so we can choose the right wavelength for your skin.
Are you open when the Cornerstone plaza is busiest on weekends?

We are open Saturday 10 AM to 7 PM and Sunday 10 AM to 5 PM. Weekend slots go first, so booking a few days ahead is a good idea.
