From the Core to Cornerstone
Our clinic is in Cornerstone at the north-east edge of the city, not in the core. From downtown it is about a 25-minute drive up Deerfoot, a trip many women make after work or on a quiet Sunday. Here is what the drive looks like from each inner-city neighbourhood.

The commute
Memorial Drive, Deerfoot, Airport Trail
From anywhere in the core, the route is the same three steps. Get onto Memorial Drive heading east along the river, merge onto Deerfoot Trail northbound, and take Airport Trail NE east. Airport Trail passes under the airport runway and brings you out on the north-east side, where 96 Avenue NE and Cornerstone Drive lead to the clinic.
Bridgeland is the exception. Being on the north side of the river already, routing data sends it east along 16 Avenue NE and up Stoney Trail instead, for about the same 24 minutes. From Mission and the south Beltline, the first few minutes are spent getting to Memorial Drive, which is why they come in a few minutes longer.

Neighbourhood notes
Seven Starting Points
Downtown core. If you work in an office tower off Stephen Avenue, you are a few blocks from Memorial Drive. Leaving at 5 PM, plan on more than the free-flow 25 minutes; leaving at 6, it drops back quickly.
East Village. One of the quickest inner-city starts, around 24 minutes, because Memorial Drive is right on the doorstep near the Central Library and the RiverWalk.
Beltline and Victoria Park. About 27 minutes. From the 17th Avenue SW side of the Beltline, head north to the river first; from Victoria Park, near Stampede Park, the connection to Memorial and Deerfoot is short.
Mission. The longest of the group at about 29 minutes, since you start south of the Beltline along 4th Street SW.
Inglewood and Bridgeland. Both sit just east of downtown, at about 26 and 24 minutes respectively. Bridgeland takes the 16 Avenue NE and Stoney Trail route.

How long is the drive from downtown Calgary to Lavish Beauty?

About 25 minutes from the downtown core in free-flow traffic (approx.), and 24 to 29 minutes from East Village, the Beltline, Victoria Park, Inglewood and Mission. The usual route is Memorial Drive east to Deerfoot Trail north, then Airport Trail NE east to 96 Avenue NE and Cornerstone Drive. At 5 PM on a weekday, Deerfoot northbound is slower, so allow extra time.
Can I book after work?

Yes. We take appointments until 7 PM Monday to Saturday. If you finish downtown at 5, a 6:15 or 6:30 booking usually leaves enough room for rush-hour traffic on Deerfoot. Short treatments such as underarms, upper lip or eyebrow threading suit that window well.
Is parking free?

Yes. There is free surface parking in front of our plaza at 1155 Cornerstone Blvd NE, so there is no parkade or meter to pay at this end.
Why would I drive out to the NE from the Beltline or Mission?

There are clinics close to the core, and for some people that convenience will win. What is the best day to come from downtown?

Sunday, 10 AM to 5 PM. Traffic on Deerfoot is light and the drive is close to the 25-minute estimate. Saturday mornings are similar.
